Description
You have the entire combo here! Japanese Microtran (made by Tamura) transformers, multi-tap primary, best permalloy core, mumetal shield, and it comes in a plug-in package for the common 7-pin tube miniature socket. Transformer checked and working great! Get this while you can, cause they don't make 'em like this anymore. Vintage transformers build quality and performance have been rediscovered in the last decades, and prices skyrocket each year. I have four of these (like you see in the last picture) so I'm selling only one pair here, and keeping the other pair for my own use. I have a big collection and now I am selling duplicate ones, so I can keep at least a pair for me. The ones I'm selling here are better matched than the ones I am keeping. These transformers works on a wide range of impedances, so you can use it for many different cartridges, or to get different sound out of tge same cartrdge. It also has a multi-tap primary so I advise you use a rotary switch to be able to ise all the options from this wonderful product. Possible impedances: pins 1-2 = 3 to 4 ohms pins 2-4 = 5 to 10 ohms pins 1-4 = 15 to 30 ohms pins 6-7 = 40 to 100 ohms I recommend you termine it with 10k up to 47k on the secondary, or probbaly try a 220k log pot across the secondary for impedance variation control. Buy this and use it to make your preferred moving coil cartridges come alive. This transformer was born to shine with the best cartridges from Ortofon, Shure, Denon, Accuphase, Goldring, Nagoka, Audio Technica, ADC, Roksan, Rega, Koetsu, Grado, Clearaudio, Sumiko, Benz Micro, My Sonic Lab, Hana, ZYX, Miyajima, Vertere Acoustics, Ana Mighty Sound, Charisma Audio, Allnic Audio, Soundsmith, Lyra, Acoustical Systems, MoFi, Shelter, etc. I know my stuff, and have tested transformers from all of the very best manufacturers, vintage and new production, likeJorgen Shou JS, Western Electric, Langevin, Marinair, Parmeko, Partridge, UTC, Tamura, Peerless, Triad, Thordarson, Chicago, Beyerdynamic, Altec, Telefunken, Malotki, Siemens, Seinnheiser, Lundahl, Raphaelite, Haufe, Pikatron, Sowter, etc. You can also use vintage transformers to build your own units like preamplifiers or amplifiers, or just a transformer box to run your signal through and get the benefits, if you are into HiFi DIY. Otherwise, if you are a musician, producer or studio owner, you can use vontage transformers to build Pultecs, VariMu compressors, mic preamps and many more, with lots of character, to open up the variety of your sound palette. This pair of transformers are really rare! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 limitations (yes, still), I can't ship to Australia. Don't ask me why. More good audio parts in my other items. Make sure you check it!
